We are starting to get tired of the ICW and pushing South as quick as we can with a few short stops in some interesting areas along the way.
We’ve made it back to our home port and while we are missing the boat life we are very happy to be back with friends and family! Don’t worry, we will continue to document our journey with the weekly posts!
November 11 to November 17, 2023 We spend some time exploring the beautiful areas around Savannah Georgia and meet some incredible people.
We do another overnight outside passage and explore the beautiful city of Charleston, SC.
We continue South, exploring small towns and stopping at Beaufort, NC for supplies. We then get smacked during our outside passage to Masonboro Inlet.
This week we see a wide range of scenery from the industrial metal and steel of military naval ships to the picturesque natural habitat of the Dismal Swamp.
We continue South and exit the Chesapeake, we are about to enter the ICW and will need to make a decision on which route to take next week: the Dismal Swamp, or the Virginia Cut.
We continue South along the Chesapeake, avoid the boat show traffic and take some time outs in a few lovely towns.
We leave the marina, navigate NY harbour, do an overnight passage on the Atlantic Ocean and end up in the Chesapeake.
We leave Amsterdam, New York and complete the New York State Canal system entering the Hudson River.
